     Haley Newland is a new author and has been sharing her stories with the Columbus Indiana community for over a year. Her stories hold a wide range of personal matters, mixed with the other-worldly experiences of Science Fiction and Steampunk. Her company goes by the name, HaleyN Novels, and their first book; (Zathena and the Sky Pirates) was first drafted with her best friend and co-founder Myckenzie Gatten, then went on to finish and update the draft during their senior year in high school with the help of Josh Bederaux-Cayne, Sebastian Miller, Samantha Cooksey and formatted by Justin Monroe. The first novel was for their Senior Project at Columbus Signature Academy, which the company received an A for. (Haley likes to brag about that bit) Enter into a new world with the HaleyN Novel company's first novel, Zathena and the Sky Pirates.

Terry Pratchett's Guards! Guards! Review

What Caught My Attention -      At first I didn't know how I would feel about reading a book redundantly labeled, Guards! Guards! The cover was plain green, yellow and has a strange illustrated small dragon on the cover (NEVER judge a book by it's cover, never) . This book was loaned to me by a co-worker of mine, Rob. He informed me to read the dedication page before I started to read the entire book, because it would give me a feel of Terry Pratchett's humor.                   It did. Isaac Asimov's Nemesis Review

What Caught My Attention -      This book caught my attention in a different way from the last review I wrote. It wasn't about the cover this time around. Even though if I were alive in the 80's I would have been all about this cover. Its colorful, and captivating with the settlement Rotor. The planet Erythro in the front bottom of the cover, and Satellite Megas floating menacing in the background both circling the red dwarf star Nemesis. It's so interesting. I won't lie it does make me want to read it. But the main reason I wanted to read this novel is because Dr. Kit August told me it was written similar to my book, Zathena and the Sky Pirates .
